Used Forklift Parts - Inevitably, lift truck components will eventually wear out and need replacing. The choice of acquiring new components can become pricey so another idea is to obtain used parts. This can save much money eventually. It is a great idea to purchase used forklift components which have been remanufactured. These parts will guarantee that you are getting parts that would work for a long time and be productive.
Remanufacturing broken and worn out components is a less expensive method in general compared to rebuilding. With rebuilding parts, just the parts which are broken or worn out get replaced, which means that other wearable parts could break down soon after acquisition.
Remanufactured parts are cleaned after being taken apart and have the unusable parts changed. This technique could provide the best assurance for second-hand components. After complete disassembly, the engines are oven cleaned. The engines are hot tested after reassembly to ensure that there are no noise, no oil pressure problems, no leaks or any vacuum.
Transmissions are pressure washed, disassembled and oven cleaned. A thorough examination is performed so as to check for any cracks. Bearings, bushings and seals are all replaced. Usually, the replacement components used on transmission parts meet OEM specifications.
A few lift truck parts such as the water pump, torque converters, the alternator, steer axles and the starter could be quite serviceable after worn parts are replaced. The electronic control in the electric forklift is maintained by the control card. This card could even be remanufactured with replacing all aged and worn out parts. Unlike several lift truck components the control card can only have the worn and aged components replaced.
Parts that are remanufactured have to be thoroughly inspected upon reassembly to ensure they are in good condition previous to being sold. When buying these components, it is a good idea to be certain that they have undergone all of the proper testing and inspections. On certain larger components like steer axles, engines and transmissions, OEM specification replacement parts should be utilized.
The dealer of used lift trucks and components could ensure that the remanufactured parts have met OEM specifications and that these components meet industry standards.
